Chris, interesting that our sermon this week was on Jonah and not the simplistic kids version but about how he could not out run or out sail God’s calling for him. The storm he faced in the sea was calmed but the sailors listening to him and saying they should cast him in the sea, but that was not the only way nor the intent of the storm. Jonah would rather die than follow God’s mission for him and preach to his enemies and give them a chance to repent, ironic when all he had to do was repent himself to end the storm set on him.
You might find yourself in stormy seas and think it is God’s wrath set out to destroy or hurt you when it is really God’s love giving you direction, all you have to do is accept it.
Jared spoke of God seeking to direct you in love. I hope you meet Him on the road. If you ask Him, He will reveal Himself to you… He goes with you all the time!
You are always in my heart and prayers… We all miss you and love you!
